NIKHILA YOGA : Yin Yoga, Reiki

Nikhila found Yoga 9 years ago following the Christchurch earthquakes when she moved to Tauranga to start a new life.  Nikhila is now a fully certified yoga practitioner.

With each obstacle and challenge we face in day to day life, she has found comfort and clarity within the study of yoga, especially the concept of yin yoga. 


Yoga by definition means unity.  It is the practice of merging mind, body and spirit and yin yoga taught Nikhila to be more to be more present, to breathe deep, to live her life experiences with patience, gratitude and mindfulness. To feel fully whole in her body and emotions.  It has also enabled her to let go of unhealthy behaviors and relationships, and has given her the ability to consciously cultivate a life that is grounded in self-love.

Nikhila teaches the beautiful practice of yin yoga, which is an introspective practice that balances the mind and body, which also helps balance meridians and reaches into deep connective tissues, organs and joints throughout the body, greatly improving circulation, flexibility and flow. 

Through guided meditation, pranayam (breath), asanas (poses) and sound healing, Nikhila's class is a journey towards your own expansion and well-being.

"We don't use the body to get into the pose, we use the pose to get into the body." said Nikhila.

She offers weekly Yin classes (please refer schedule ) and yin yoga by candlelight on Thursday nights.

Also Yin Yoga will be held for expecting mums in 2020.
